I have since gotten a return authorization for it. I went to BB and went through a stack of Targus Versavus trying them on the demo ipad. They all failed. I then started to test a stack of the Targus Vuscape for the new iPad (3rd Generation), Wi-Fi/4G Model 16GB, 32GB, 64GB THZ157US (Black) on the demo ipad. I found that some of the cases would work intermittently, they required some fine adjustments to get the ipad to turn off and on. However, I was able to find one of the Targus Vuscapes that worked... I was at a Best Buy last month and bought a Vuscape for my new iPad 3. The magnet works perfectly. At Best Buy they told me that Targus had fixed the problem and they pulled the cases that did not work right (Basially apple changed the position of the magnet for the 3rd gen iPad and some case manufacturers have had to compensate). It looks like there are only two stand positions for this case, but there is actually a 3rd position for this case. You have to flip the case over and insert the tab next to the stylus holder into a little slot, and it gives you the perfect angle for typing. Its quite ingenius and I use that position a lot. I have had this case for over a month now and it fits great, magnetic on/off works great, and its very slim and nice looking. I actually like the fact that there is a cutout for the apple logo on the back of the case. If anyone is worried about it getting scratched (which IMO is very unlikely) just... The second is sporadic so I called Targus, they immediately offered a replacement and allowed me to keep the one I have. They want to make this right and have with me.
